Here are 2 illustrations I did this week.

The first one is for an article about ‘up and coming female writing talent’:

The second one is based on an article about skiing accidents and that they mostly happen in Austria.

Also I am working on something new to present myself better, this could result in a major change of this site (and creating another dutch version because I don’t think I get that much english visitors… correct me if I’m wrong )

Infectious x Mimobot design challenge

I recently found out about the Infectious x Mimobot design challenge. I immediately thought about several designs. I submitted my design today and I hope it get’s approved and voting can begin.

Here’s the design I submitted today… I’m actually not sure if I’m allowed to do several designs, but I just might! I always liked Mimoco’s crossover between designer toys and usb flash drives.

Update! Too bad, this design didn’t make the contest.. Reasonable comments to this were: “The bumps are just in the wrong place to make this really come together.” and “Creative – but it does give her the biggest rib cage in the world!“. I can live with that, next up: T-shirt design contest!

A quick peek in my sketchbook

Once in a while I can find the time to make some nice illustrations. But the source of those illustrations is often my sketchbook, in it there are a lot of sketches yet to be vectorized.

So here’s a quick look into that sketchbook… these are some sketches that I might use later. Or not at all

Summer Dance Party 2007

Every summer, at ’surf island aalsmeer’ there’s this festival called ‘Summer Dance Party‘. In 2007 I offered my services to the organisation. Resulting in some sexy flyers and tickets.

It’s a shame I couldn’t actually be at the party because I was in Spain for a summer vacation. With DJ’s like Laidback Luke and Cor Fijneman it would have been a great party.
